The Attendance History widget is on the Student Spotlight Tab. Each week of school is in a column, and each class period is a row.
If the student was present, there is a green mark; if they were absent and it was unexcused, there is a red mark; if they were absent and it was excused, there is a yellow mark; and if they were tardy, there is an orange mark. If attendance was not taken, for example if the class did not meet on that day, then nothing is shown. There is a year to date summary on the right.
To see daily attendance information, click the week to expand it.
(Please note: if you are viewing attendance details for today, all students are marked as present for all periods. Homeroom stores absence and tardy records, and therefore it assumes a student is present unless specifically marked as absent or tardy. Since the data in Homeroom is updated nightly from your SIS, today's absences and tardies will not be reflected until tomorrow.)
To see information about a particular class, click a daily icon.
Click the Calendar button in the widget toolbar to select a previous year. The Full Screen button will display even more weeks worth of data. The Print button will print the student's history of absences and tardies.
If you select the Print button, a print preview will appear. You may select and print historical attendance data as well.
For the 2014/15 school year and beyond, absences categorized as “Other” in Skyward are now categorized as "Excused" in Homeroom.
Prior to the 2014/15 school year all Skyward “Other” absences were categorized as “Unexcused” absences in Homeroom.
Additional rows, titled "All Day" have been added to the Attendance widget in order to help with State Reporting. It indicates attendance per period per day and gives a day and week percentage and count summary.
